Twilight Cupcake Ideas For Your Twilight Party

I love Twilight, so it's only natural that I would make Twilight character cupcakes! Edward is my favorite, of course, but Bella and Alice run a close second and all the rest of the characters are third! I thought Vampire cupcakes were the best dessert idea for anyone planning a Twilight party menu, but now I'm not so sure. I actually made a small gallery of cupcake pictures and put it online so everyone can take a look and get some great cupcake decorating ideas.

Now, I am not a professional baker...by any means, I just like to bake cupcakes and then I like to eat them. I guess it started years ago when I was a class mother at my kids' school. As the class mother I would help the teacher plan and set up parties in the class room for the kids at holiday times. It was always fun to hang out with the kids and you end up getting some great dessert ideas from them. Sometimes kids are so smart, they see ways of arranging candies to make faces and designs that adults just aren't able to see!

Now that I have been using some fun cupcake decorating ideas, I can come up with some very unique ideas. I bake a dozen cupcakes, and just begin to decorate using items I find around the house. Different shaped candies are perfect for making an eye, buttons and even train or car tires! White frosting and a chocolate chip make an eye, string licorice can make antennae or legs for a variety of different cupcake ideas. Spiders come to mind immediately!

Sometimes I buy some pre-made desserts from my food store and add some candy or frosting to them to create a fun dessert idea. For example, it's simple to make a Halloween Eyeball dessert when you use a small white sugar covered donut and a lifesaver. You will need some red icing or a tube of red decorating gel too. Once you start to decorating dessert cakes you will find cupcake decorating ideas just start to flow. It's so much fun, you have got to try it. Let that cake decorator out...and keep your eyes open...cupcake decorating ideas are everywhere!

Ahh...that brings me back to my Twilight character cupcakes...Twilight parties are going to be really big this Halloween...and they will be a big birthday party theme too...so I am making a gallery of pictures with dessert ideas focused completely around Twilight cupcakes and desserts. There are edible cupcake toppers, or cake toppers, and you can put any picture you like on them. Take a photo of you and one of Edward, or any of the other Cullens and see if your local baker shop can combine them. There you will be, on the cake, with Edward! There is a dream come true for many of the Saga's fans.
